Founded as much for enjoyment of cool gear as for profit, Analog Man is known as one of the top builders, designers, modifiers, and dealers of effect pedals in the boutique industry. Through a collaboration with a friend in Japan, the "RE-J Project" mod seeks to greatly improve upon the BD-2, highlighting some of the pedal's best qualities while minimizing its deficiencies. Across the range of settings, the BD-2/Super mod pushes the Blues Drive to its full range of potential.

In particular, the Analogman mod opens up the tone control of the BD-2, so that warmer tones can be unlocked. It turns a ratty sounding near-fuzz into a sweeter, smoother tone. It also allows the Blues Driver to be used as more of a clean boost, pushing your amp into smooth saturation (or a cranked up over a cliff!) To achieve the wider range, Analog Man does not drastically change the circuit; a lot of the mod is simply replacing the many cheap, poor-sounding components that Boss uses.

This 2000s BD-2 was given the full Analogman BD-2/Super RE-J Project treatment, and it sounds fantastic. It includes its original box, and the previous owner installed velcro to the underside. It shows some cosmetic wear and signs of use, but it functions 100% as it should, and it still has all of the Analog Man signage.
